London, UK – 14 November 2025
Following successful collaborations and pilot projects across Europe, including partnerships with Sharp Group, Queen Mary University, and other leading innovators, TeknTrash Robotics is now deepening its presence in Asia. Strategically located at Building D1, No. 88 Dongchang Road, Suzhou Industrial Park, the Suzhou office will serve as the company’s regional hub for robot assembly, testing, and local R&D, enabling closer integration with manufacturing partners and faster response to market needs.
“Our decision to enter Suzhou Industrial Park is both strategic and symbolic,” said Al Costa, CEO of TeknTrash Robotics. “Suzhou offers an extraordinary innovation ecosystem and a supportive policy environment for high-tech enterprises. This expansion allows us to combine Europe’s engineering excellence with China’s manufacturing agility, accelerating our mission to make humanoid robotics accessible and impactful for real-world waste and ESG challenges.” TeknTrash has received strong support from the Suzhou Industrial Park administrative committee and will further receive assistance in technical validation, local talent recruitment, and supply chain optimisation. But, most importantly, the local presence will enable TeknTrash to develop its ALPHA next-generation humanoid, tailored to work in waste handling in both industrial and domestic use, aligning with its long-term RAAS (Robotics-as-a-Service) business model. “This is not just an expansion; it’s the start of a new chapter,” added Costa. “Our vision is to bring humanoid robotics into everyday environments – from recycling centres to homes – and Suzhou is where this future will begin to take shape.”
This move comes at a pivotal point in the robotics markets, with leading US robotics companies also establishing operations in China and, even more impressive, another major one closing its doors claiming impossible market conditions due to China’s more abundant venture capital for robotics.
TeknTrash, which in China will be called “Titan Rui Technology (“Titan” symbolising power, innovation, and global vision and “Rui” meaning intelligence, foresight, and wisdom in Chinese), plans to hold an official launch event later this year, featuring demonstrations of its ALPHA humanoid robot in collaboration with local partners. A press briefing and media open day will be announced in due course.
